What Is Canva?
Canva is a web-based design tool that makes it easy to create content for social media, business presentations, marketing materials, and more. It uses a simple drag-and-drop editor, so you do not need any design experience to get started.
One of its key features is the Content Planner, available on paid plans. It lets you connect your social media accounts and schedule posts to go live at specific dates and times. You can plan your content in a calendar view and track basic performance after posts are published.
Canva also includes a full set of AI tools that help you write captions, generate images, remove backgrounds, and resize designs for different platforms automatically, all inside the same workspace without switching apps.
How to Use Canva?
Using Canva for design and social media scheduling is simple. Here are the key steps:
Open Canva and search for a template by format, such as Instagram post, LinkedIn banner, or Facebook cover. Pick one that fits your needs or start with a blank canvas in any size.
Use the drag-and-drop editor to customize text, fonts, colors, and images. Use Magic Write to generate or improve captions and Magic Resize to instantly adapt your design for multiple platforms.
Once your design is ready, click the Share button at the top right of the editor, then choose Schedule. Pick your date, time, and connected social media account, add a caption, and confirm.
To plan multiple posts ahead, open the Content Planner from the main menu. It shows a visual calendar where you can see all upcoming posts and easily add new ones.
To link your accounts, go to the scheduling menu and log in through each platform. Canva supports Instagram Business, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, X, and Pinterest.
